Gum Disease is essentially gingivitis with associated bone loss. Roughly 35% of the population has the genetics for periodontal disease.
Do you have difficulty eating hard foods? Do you have cold sensitive teeth? Do you hear "clicks" or "popping" in your jaw joint? These are common dental problems that often go undiagnosed for years. Dr. Gillespie has had specific training in the diagnosis of many of these conditions. Bite analysis and TMD diagnosis is an area that is a primary focus at Life Long Dental.
These help to prevent bruxism, or grinding of teeth. Clenching and grinding occur most often during sleep, but can be an unconscious movement that requires the use of a nightguard to protect your teeth and jaws.

Sealants are tooth colored and made from polymer or glass ionomers and bond to the deep grooves in the back teeth (molars) to prevent decay.
